Known for his virtuosity and expressive interpretations on contemporary classical music, Mexican flutist/composer Alejandro Escuer has established himself not just as a major figure in the musical world but also as an influential cultural leader, educator (professor at UNAM and lecturer), and a champion of new music, premiering hundreds of works dedicated to him.
His influences come form ancient cultures, literature, art photography, contemporary design and architecture.
